Turkish-Cypriot leader urges opening of new Green-Line crossing points

New Turkish-Cypriot leader Tufan Erhürman said on 27 October that more Green-Line checkpoints are needed to relieve congestion and build trust between the island’s two communities. Extra crossings would shorten travel times for workers, students and tourists, giving employers and mobility managers new routing options. The proposal, if accepted by the Republic of Cyprus, would be the biggest facilitation of intra-island mobility in more than two decades.
