The incidents occurred near the rural localities of Narewka and Czeremcha, where mixed groups of migrants tried to cross both on foot and via the border river Narew. Officers reported that some individuals hurled strands of razor wire at patrol vehicles, puncturing two tyres and forcing a temporary withdrawal.
Since January, the Podlaskie Border Guard unit has registered illegal-entry attempts by nationals from more than 35 countries, including Chad, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Djibouti and Benin.
