Hidden among the long list of updates is a boon for Cyprus: leisure affiliate Discover Airlines will launch daily services to Larnaca from both Frankfurt and Munich, upgrading the current 4-per-week pattern to a year-round daily operation.
The frequency boost will add roughly 2 100 inbound seats a week during the high season, reinforcing Germany’s position as Cyprus’ second-largest tourist and business source market after the UK. Hermes Airports, operator of Larnaca and Paphos, welcomed the announcement, projecting an additional €28 million in direct tourism revenue and 200 airport-related jobs.
