The programme grants a 25 % fare rebate on multi-trip tickets, used chiefly by Madrid-Valladolid commuters, which accounted for 39 826 passes in H1.
Cheaper rail commutes support employers that base shared-service centres in Valladolid or Segovia while keeping senior staff resident in Madrid. The extra subsidy coincides with upcoming EES biometric checks at Barajas; encouraging rail over air for domestic hops could free airport capacity for non-EU queues.
