From 21–26 October, a 70-tonne tower crane in front of Terminal 1 is being dismantled as part of the terminal-modernisation project. Road II—which serves the departures curb—is closed entirely, while segments of Road I have single-lane operation. Taxi, ride-hail and hotel-shuttle stops have been temporarily relocated to the ground-transport centre near Parking C, adding up to ten minutes’ walk for departing passengers.
Airport authorities recommend arriving three hours before long-haul flights and two hours before intra-Schengen services, not only because of the construction but also due to longer border-control times under the new EES regime.
