The Airbus A320 service operates every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, departing Abu Dhabi at 09:20 and returning from Damascus at 12:50 local time.
The move extends Air Arabia Group’s Levant footprint, complementing its existing Sharjah–Damascus route and meeting pent-up demand for family visits and small-business travel following the gradual reintegration of Syrian airspace into regional aviation maps.
For UAE-based construction, oil-services and NGO sectors eyeing Syrian projects, the non-stop flight trims at least three hours off itineraries that previously required Amman or Beirut transits. Return fares start around AED 1,000, underscoring the ultra-low-cost model’s competitive edge.
