Of the 1.56 million total November nights, domestic travellers accounted for 1.06 million (–1 % YoY) while international visitors provided the growth. The United Kingdom, Germany and the United States remained the top three source markets, reflecting both leisure demand and the gradual return of corporate meetings and incentive trips postponed during earlier economic uncertainty. Hotel occupancy across Finland reached 54 percent, with Lapland commanding an average nightly rate of €228, more than 70 percent above the national average of €131.

Helsinki and Tampere, by contrast, still have mid-week availability at business-friendly prices, thanks to a sluggish domestic market.
Finavia, Finland’s airport operator, said separately that charter slots for Asian markets are almost fully allocated for February, hinting at further inflows that could tighten accommodation and ground-transport supply. Travel-trade associations welcomed the positive trend but urged the government to streamline Schengen visa processing in key feeder markets, noting that appointment backlogs in India and China remain above pre-pandemic levels.
