Air India and Air India Express schedule 50 special flights to six Gulf cities on 7 March

Air India Group said it will operate about 50 flights connecting India with Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Jeddah, Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah on 7 March, combining both scheduled services and additional ad-hoc rotations cleared by regulators. The announcement came after partial reopening of Saudi and Omani airspace allowed the flag-carrier to step up repatriation efforts for thousands of Indians stranded by the regional conflict.(indiatoday.in)



Flights will depart from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mangaluru and Thiruvananthapuram. Passengers booked on tickets issued before 4 March for travel up to 10 March can rebook within one month without extra charges. The group is also coordinating with airport operators to prioritise vulnerable flyers such as senior citizens, students and medical cases.(indiatoday.in)

While the ramp-up signals progress, Air India cautioned that services remain contingent on real-time threat assessments and could be curtailed at short notice. Mobility managers should therefore verify flight status up to the last minute and maintain alternative routing options—such as Muscat or Kuwait City—for mission-critical travel.
