Vietnam imposes mandatory pre-arrival declaration at Ho Chi Minh City airport—Hong Kong travellers urged to prepare
From 15 April 2026, Vietnam now requires most foreign passengers—Hong Kong business and leisure visitors included—to submit an online pre-arrival form and present a QR code when clearing immigration at Tan Son Nhat Airport (SGN). The step is designed to speed processing but non-compliant travellers face longer queues or airline boarding denials, making advance completion essential for Hong Kong corporates with frequent Vietnam travel.
