Brazil Extends Deadline for Nationwide Biometric ID—Move Aligns National Identity With Passport and Travel Systems
A new joint ordinance published on 30 April postpones the deadline for Brazilians to register fingerprints and facial data for the Carteira de Identidade Nacional until 31 December 2026.
