Local hotels report a spike in last-minute requests for private transfers, while tour operators are warning of missed shore-excursions for cruise passengers docking in Naples. Businesses with staff posted in the Campania region are urged to factor in longer transfer times to Naples-Capodichino airport and consider remote-working options. Employers should also remind assignees that statutory ‘fascie di garanzia’ (06:00-09:00 and 16:30-19:30) provide only limited protection on regional lines, meaning cancellations can still occur within those windows. The union is protesting staffing shortages and long-outstanding wage‐adjustment talks. Regional authorities have called for an urgent mediation meeting, warning that further strikes during the peak summer season could undermine the international reputation of Campania’s tourism infrastructure.
