Migri will subject all 2026 wild-berry picker visa, certificate and residence-permit applications to enhanced scrutiny to stop labour exploitation. Employers must now provide detailed evidence of fair pay, decent housing and clean recruitment; non-compliant applications will be rejected. The tougher line will lengthen processing times but aims to protect migrant workers and safeguard Finland’s seasonal labour market.
