City of Helsinki Gains ‘Certified Employer’ Status, Unlocking 14-Day Permit Fast-Track
The Finnish Immigration Service added the City of Helsinki to its list of certified employers on 22 May 2026. The designation lets the municipality—and any units it controls—use Migri’s 14-day fast-track residence-permit channel, speeding up international hires in healthcare, education and IT. Helsinki is the first public-sector body to secure the accreditation, giving it a recruitment advantage over other Finnish regions.
