Travel agents report that re-accommodation options are tight because the route is a key link for UN staff, tech professionals and Austrian exporters with operations in Israel. Cargo clients moving pharma and high-tech equipment are likewise scrambling for belly-hold space via Istanbul or Larnaca. From a mobility-compliance perspective, employers should note that Israeli business visas issued on arrival at Ben Gurion Airport remain valid once service resumes; however, any Austrian passports containing expired entry stamps older than six months may raise questions at immigration, so HR teams should check document validity before redeploying staff.
