On 30 June PRG issued new NOTAMs closing a section of Taxiway A for 34 hours and declaring multiple stand-guidance systems inoperative, while the long-term closure of Runway 06/24 continues. Smartwings Adds Prague-Venice and Prague-Bergen Flights in Winter 2026/27, Strengthening Czechia’s Business-Travel Links

Smartwings will open four-weekly Prague–Venice flights on 22 October and twice-weekly Prague–Bergen flights on 26 October, giving Czech business travelers nonstop access to key Italian and Norwegian markets. The new services, announced 29 June 2026, support Prague Airport’s network-recovery strategy and promise to cut current one-stop journey times by several hours while boosting winter capacity by roughly 30,000 seats. Companies should note Schengen biometric rules for non-EU staff but otherwise gain faster, more reliable links for meetings, exports and project work.
