The University of Economics in Kraków (UEK) released the first round of admission results for its 2026/27 English-language master’s programmes on 22 July 2026. The PDF timetable for international candidates confirms that accepted students must submit hard-copy documents between 23 and 24 July or, alternatively, during a second window in September. The publication date is critical because many successful applicants will now begin the visa process at Polish consulates abroad. Under current rules, a university acceptance letter can be lodged as proof of purpose when applying for a national (D) study visa; however, consulates in India, Nigeria and Türkiye are quoting appointment wait-times of up to eight weeks. UEK has introduced a remote-verification option for diplomas and English-language certificates to speed up enrolment, but originals must still be shown on arrival. The university warns that failure to appear in person within the July deadline may forfeit a place, as quotas are capped under the new Higher-Education Funding Act. For corporate relocation teams the development matters because accompanying spouses of incoming managers increasingly enrol on graduate programmes to obtain an independent residence title. Advisers should synchronise visa appointments with the university’s strict document-submission windows to avoid forced deferrals to the spring semester. UEK expects foreign students to account for 18 % of its intake this year, with the largest cohorts coming from Ukraine, Belarus, India and Kazakhstan.
