France revises border-control code to implement EU Migration Pact, effective 25 July 2026
France has updated the CESEDA border-control chapter to transpose the EU Migration Pact. From 25 July 2026, border guards apply the new EU screening rules, carriers face stricter liability for inadmissible passengers, and temporary Schengen-internal checks can be re-introduced more easily.
