France revises border-control code to implement EU Migration Pact, effective 25 July 2026

France has updated the CESEDA border-control chapter to transpose the EU Migration Pact. From 25 July 2026, border guards apply the new EU screening rules, carriers face stricter liability for inadmissible passengers, and temporary Schengen-internal checks can be re-introduced more easily. The revision foreshadows the Entry/Exit biometric system and will affect companies moving staff across French borders.

From 25 July to 6 August 2026, the central section of Paris’s RER B is closed for major switch-replacement works, halting through-services and reducing CDG airport frequencies to one train every seven minutes. No-fly zone and road bans imposed over central Paris for 25-26 July security operation

A DGAC decree has created a prohibited air-space (“ZIT CONCORDE”) over central Paris from 25-26 July, grounding VFR operations at Le Bourget, CDG, Orly and Issy heliport except for essential flights. Simultaneous city-hall orders ban most private vehicles in six central arrondissements. The restrictions force business-aviation and logistics operators to divert flights and re-route deliveries, increasing costs and requiring corporate travellers to revise weekend itineraries.
