Organisers of the 27th Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong (ACGHK) have unveiled a dedicated Fast-Track Entry channel at Hall 1B of the Convention & Exhibition Centre, open daily from 12:00 between 24 and 28 July. International ticket-holders with valid travel documents can bypass the main security queue, cutting average waiting times from 30 minutes to under 10, according to the Hong Kong Tourism Board. While the measure is temporary, it provides a useful test-bed for event-specific immigration facilitation at Hong Kong’s city-side venues. ACGHK attracts an estimated 100,000 overseas visitors – many of them cosplayers travelling with elaborate props that normally trigger secondary bag checks. Fast-Track Entry lanes are staffed by Immigration Assistants trained to recognise ATA Carnet paperwork, reducing clearance friction for professional exhibitors. The pilot aligns with Hong Kong’s post-pandemic strategy to court mega-events and rebuild visitor arrivals, which were still 12 % below 2019 levels in the first half of 2026. If successful, similar lanes may be rolled out for December’s Web3 Summit and the Rugby Sevens. Companies sponsoring foreign talent for the event should advise participants that Fast-Track counters close at 19:00 and do not issue on-arrival visas; standard entry requirements remain in force. Equipment exceeding 15 kg or flagged as ‘restricted articles’ will still be routed through the conventional customs channel.
