Dedicated lanes outside the terminal separate contract taxis from pick-ups by non-affiliated companies, a model Finavia has tested successfully in Oulu and Rovaniemi. Existing provider Kuopion Taksiykköset continues to serve alongside the newcomer, fostering competition without exclusivity. The three-year contract includes service-level targets on maximum wait times and driver English-language proficiency—both monitored via a QR-code passenger-feedback tool.
