Václav Havel Airport Prague has integrated OAG’s new RouteMapper tool into its website, giving passengers an interactive map of 127 destinations served by 50 airlines. Announced on 23 April, the multilingual platform lets users visualise direct and connecting flights, filter by airline and download real-time timetables – a first for any European airport, according to OAG. The launch comes as Prague positions itself as a Central-European hub for both leisure and corporate travel. RouteMapper’s API draws on OAG’s schedule and minimum-connection-time databases, enabling travel-management companies to embed airport-verified routing data into their booking engines. For multinational firms with regional headquarters in Prague this means faster itinerary building and better duty-of-care visibility. Airport executives say the tool is part of a broader digital-experience upgrade that will also see automated border-control e-gates extended to Terminal 2 ahead of the EU Entry/Exit System go-live this summer. Combined with airline incentives announced earlier in April – including landing-fee rebates for new long-haul routes – the airport hopes to restore passenger numbers to pre-pandemic highs of 17 million by 2027. Practical takeaway: travel managers should bookmark the new map (Flight Info > RouteMapper) and encourage travellers to verify connection times before ticketing, especially on complex itineraries that rely on short intra-Schengen transfers.
