According to fresh figures highlighted by aviation intelligence firm CAPA on 28 April 2026, the number of foreign visitors spending at least one night in Poland grew by 14 % in February versus the same month last year. Warsaw Chopin and Kraków-Balice airports captured the bulk of the gains, helped by new long-haul services and a vigorous conference calendar. For corporate mobility managers the uptick signals tighter hotel occupancy in Warsaw, Kraków and Wrocław during mid-week peaks, when international trade fairs now routinely push room rates above pre-pandemic levels. Travel buyers may need to secure allocations earlier or shift meetings to secondary cities such as Łódź or Poznań where capacity is still ample. The data also reinforce Poland’s positioning as Central Europe’s fastest-growing MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) destination. Local authorities credit simplified e-visa processes for business visitors from India and improved English-language signage at airports following last year’s Schengen Entry/Exit System roll-out. Looking forward, analysts expect growth to accelerate into summer as LOT Polish Airlines adds North American frequencies and low-cost carriers expand to regional airports. However, customs delays caused by ongoing rail-infrastructure works on the German border (see separate story) could create last-mile challenges for event logistics that rely on freight shipments by rail. Companies planning incentive trips or product launches in Poland should therefore coordinate closely with DMCs and freight forwarders to avoid unexpected holdups at the frontier.
