Salzburg introduces summer exit bans on Tauern Autobahn to keep transit traffic on A10
Salzburg will block transit motorists from leaving the A10 Tauern Autobahn at nine junctions every weekend until early September. The aim is to stop holiday traffic from clogging local roads and Alpine villages, but the move means business travellers must remain on the motorway and allow for potential bottlenecks. Violations carry on-the-spot fines of €150 or more.
