Dublin Airport’s operator, daa, has kicked off the busy holiday departure period with an aggressive Fast-Track security promotion, cutting the price of its priority lane to just €6 for bookings made before midnight on 24 July. Travellers who enter the promotional code “599FAST” when pre-purchasing Fast-Track on the airport’s website or app can lock in the discounted rate for departures up to 31 August. The limited-time offer applies to both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, where dedicated Fast-Track entrances funnel passengers into a separate, shorter security queue. daa says the product is designed to deliver a sub-10-minute security experience and has recently been upgraded in Terminal 1 with a new, easier-to-locate entrance on Level 3. Outside the promotion, Fast-Track normally costs between €7.99 and €13.99 depending on the time of day. The airport stresses that Fast-Track slots can be amended or cancelled up to four hours before the booked arrival time, with refunds processed within five working days—an important flexibility at a time when last-minute itinerary changes remain common. The service operates daily from 04:00 – 21:00 in Terminal 1 and 04:00 – 18:00 in Terminal 2, and can even be purchased at on-site kiosks or via contactless card tap-and-go. For corporate travel managers the promotion is an easy, low-cost win: €6 represents little more than a cup of coffee in most European hubs yet can shave 20–30 minutes off dwell time during the heaviest departure waves. Employers with time-sensitive travellers—such as technicians on day trips or executives with tight connection windows—may wish to bulk-book Fast-Track passes this week before the price reverts. More broadly, daa’s decision to incentivise pre-booking highlights how airports are using dynamic ancillary products to smooth passenger flows and generate non-aeronautical revenue. With Dublin Airport on track to exceed 34 million passengers this year, even modest Fast-Track uptake can materially relieve pressure on standard security lanes while boosting the bottom line.
