From 1 October 2026, Emirates will reinstate its flagship Airbus A380 on daily flights EK139/140 between Prague and Dubai, offering 569 seats across Economy, the carrier’s new 56-seat Premium Economy cabin, and Business Class. The move follows interior refurbishment of the super-jumbo and forms part of a fleet-wide upgrade programme that has already modernised 105 aircraft. Premium Economy—a product positioned between Economy and Business—has proved popular on Emirates’ Sydney and London services and will now be available to Czech travellers heading to the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Africa. Corporate travel managers say the cabin provides a welcome mid-tier option for policy-restricted budgets while still delivering wider seats, extra leg-room and a premium meal service. Restoring the A380 also increases belly-hold cargo capacity, benefiting Czech exporters of high-value goods such as electronics and pharmaceuticals that rely on daily uplift to Emirates’ Dubai hub. According to Prague Airport, Emirates carried more than 260 000 passengers on the Prague route in 2025, a 15 % year-on-year rise after pandemic recovery. The announcement is strategically timed ahead of Dubai’s peak winter season and the COP32 climate summit, for which demand from Central Europe is expected to spike. Travel agencies have already opened bookings, with introductory Premium Economy fares starting at CZK 25 900 return. For the airport, the return of the double-decker supports its target of regaining pre-COVID long-haul connectivity and enhances Prague’s attractiveness for multinational companies coordinating EMEA travel through a single hub.
