Fujian Exit-Entry Border Inspection announced that it processed roughly 164,800 passenger movements and screened more than 1,570 aircraft and vessels during the 1–7 October holiday. Xiamen Gaoqi Airport and the Xiamen Cruise Centre were the busiest nodes; cumulative throughput at Xiamen ports has now exceeded 5 million travellers in 2026—10 percent higher than the same period last year. Fuzhou Changle International Airport’s new Terminal 2 also experienced its first Golden Week, handling 36,600 passengers and validating the terminal’s expanded immigration counters and facial-recognition smart-gates. The facility can now process 3,600 arrivals per hour, a capacity boost welcomed by electronics and textile exporters who depend on visiting quality-assurance teams. Fujian authorities highlighted the role of cross-Strait mini-three-links ferries, which carried 18,000 passengers—many of them Taiwan businesspeople shuttling to factories in Quanzhou. A pilot programme allows frequent travellers to renew mainland travel permits at an on-site kiosk in less than five minutes, reducing downtime for short-haul commuters.
