The Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media is leading a five-day promotional roadshow across Central Asia from 12–16 October, with trade events scheduled in Tashkent and Almaty. The delegation will showcase Ajman’s heritage sites, new beachfront resorts and family-friendly attractions as the emirate seeks to broaden its visitor base beyond traditional Gulf and European source markets. Officials say Central Asia offers growing middle-class demand, favourable flight times and limited visa barriers for short-haul leisure trips. Uzbekistan’s recent open-skies policy and Kazakhstan’s relaxed outbound-currency rules make joint promotions with local tour operators particularly attractive. The roadshow forms part of Ajman’s 2030 tourism strategy, which targets a 10 percent compound annual increase in international arrivals and positions the emirate as a year-round destination. Meetings will also explore charter-flight opportunities, digital marketing partnerships and bundled UAE-wide packages leveraging the new national visitor-identity platform. Hospitality companies operating in Ajman should prepare multilingual sales materials and consider pricing incentives for Central-Asian wholesalers, while HR teams may need Russian- and Kazakh-speaking staff to serve new guest segments.
