Brussels Airport Company has published its 2026-27 winter timetable, featuring 136 direct destinations—four of them brand new. The season officially starts on 25 October, but the press office released details today, 15 October. Highlights: • Fly2Galicia launches twice-weekly flights to Santiago de Compostela from 1 December. • easyJet adds Nantes (2× weekly from 26 October). • Brussels Airlines will serve Kemi-Tornio, Finland (2× weekly from 25 December) and Evenes, Norway (weekly from 6 February 2027) for winter-sports and Northern-Lights tourism. Low-cost carrier Transavia, which opened a Brussels base this summer, expands too—moving to three weekly services to Las Palmas, two to Reykjavik and three to Porto. Etihad meanwhile raises Abu Dhabi frequencies from seven to 11 flights per week in mid-December, reflecting buoyant long-haul demand. Airport management expects more than 1.7 million passengers over the French- and Dutch-speaking school breaks, with a peak of 82,000 travellers on 16 October. Passengers are asked to arrive two hours ahead for Schengen flights and three for non-Schengen. For mobility planners the network growth widens options for Belgian-based multinationals. The new Nordic routes improve access to remote industrial sites and data-centre projects, while extra capacity to Abu Dhabi supports connections to Asia and Australia via Etihad’s hub. HR teams should update travel policies and preferred-carrier agreements accordingly. The airport also reminds companies to pre-book parking and to brief travellers on cabin-baggage rules to keep security lines moving.
