India TB-Test Clinic List Revised – New Address in Bangalore
UKVI has updated its list of approved tuberculosis (TB) test clinics in India, effective 16 October 2026, adding a new address for Sanjiwani Chikitsa Kendra in Bangalore and deleting a closed facility in Lucknow. The change matters because applicants from high-incidence countries such as India must submit a TB clearance certificate when applying for UK visas longer than six months, including Skilled Worker, Student and Dependant routes. Using a non-approved clinic invalidates the application and forfeits the visa fee. Corporate mobility teams sending Indian assignees should circulate the revised list immediately and double-check appointment confirmations; rejected medicals remain a top cause of visa refusals. The Bangalore addition provides much-needed capacity in India’s tech hub, where appointment backlogs stretched to four weeks during the summer peak. The guidance reminds applicants that medical certificates are valid for six months only and must still be valid on the date of entry clearance decision—not at travel. Given record UK-bound demand—work visa grants to Indians rose 39 % year-on-year to June 2026—securing early medical slots is critical to keeping onboarding timelines on track.
