Simultaneously, Qantas discounted more than 25,000 economy, premium-economy and business-class seats across six long-haul destinations, including Johannesburg, Santiago, and Pacific Island favourites such as Vanuatu and Samoa. All fares include checked luggage and inflight meals, reinforcing the carrier’s full-service positioning against low-cost rivals. The move comes as Australian corporates restart regional travel programs postponed during last month’s Middle-East fuel-price surge. By bundling a status-boost with fare discounts, Qantas hopes to lock in advance cash-flow and shore up market share before Northern Hemisphere carriers add capacity on trans-Pacific routes. Travel-management companies (TMCs) advise clients to register offers in the Qantas Business Rewards portal to ensure points pool to the corporate account. Mobility managers should also review fare-class exclusions—codeshare flights on partner airlines do not qualify for double rewards unless ticketed under a QF code. With limited award inventory over school-holiday periods, travellers seeking upgrades should book early and monitor point-redemption wait-lists via the Qantas app.
