For corporate mobility managers the warning matters because Friday-afternoon client visits or supply-chain pickups risk multi-hour delays. Logistics providers report that same-day express deliveries from Antwerp to Luxembourg already take 30 % longer than in 2025 during summer Fridays. Employers sending expatriate staff on weekend home-leave should anticipate missed Eurostar and Thalys slots if road shuttles run late. Police in Wallonia will deploy additional patrols to manage breakdowns and enforce low--emission-zone regulations around Liège, while Flanders will operate dynamic speed limits on the Antwerp ring. Brussels Airport Company, concerned about passengers missing flights due to motorway jams, is advising airlines to allow extended check-in windows on Saturday morning.
