Ireland streamlines online travel-document applications for refugees and protection beneficiaries
ISD has published a fully redesigned online application process for Irish refugee travel documents, effective 10 July 2026. Refugees, programme refugees, subsidiary-protection holders and their eligible family members must now apply through the ISD portal, pay the €55 fee online, and provide documentation digitally. The change aims to shorten the 20-week queue and gives employers better visibility over case status, benefiting global mobility teams managing protected employees in Ireland.
