SATOS Customs Notification Outage on 15 July May Delay Polish Cross-Border Freight
The Polish Electronic Customs Services (PUESC) portal has warned carriers that the SATOS notification subsystem will be offline on 15 July 2026 between 17:00 and 17:30 CEST for scheduled maintenance. SATOS issues electronic receipts confirming that export or import declarations have been lodged, a prerequisite for trucks to depart inland terminals and approach the external EU border. Although the window is only thirty minutes, industry group TLP Logistics notes that more than 2,000 trucks per hour stream toward the Koroszczyn, Medyka and Świecko corridors at peak times. Any backlog created by the outage could ripple into Friday, complicating just-in-time deliveries for automotive and FMCG supply chains. The Customs Administration has advised drivers to submit declarations earlier in the day or carry hard-copy fallback documentation. Forwarders using automated gate or EDI solutions should disable auto-sending during the downtime to avoid error loops. For global mobility teams coordinating project cargo or office relocations across the Polish border the message is clear: build extra buffer time on 15 July, alert customs brokers, and monitor PUESC alerts. Scheduled SATOS outages typically occur quarterly, but July’s peak holiday traffic means queues could escalate quickly, particularly on the Polish-Ukrainian frontier where physical infrastructure is already strained.
