Return traffic toward Île-de-France and northern borders is also expected to snarl. Although primarily a domestic forecast, the alert matters to international assignees and corporate drivers moving goods or equipment across borders. Logistics teams should avoid peak slots, pre-book alternative slots at Alpine tunnels and comply with weekend HGV bans. Companies sending staff to client sites in northern Italy or Catalonia may wish to switch to air or rail or schedule departures on Sunday, rated green nationally. Bison Futé’s communiqué also reiterates safety advice amid an ongoing recall of defective Takata airbags and urges motorists to monitor live data via the agency’s app, which now offers English, Spanish and German interfaces—useful for expatriates and cross-border commuters. Travel managers should cascade the red-alert hours to employees with grey-fleet vehicles and update risk assessments for posted workers who must drive through high-temperature zones, where heat-related breakdowns have spiked 12 % compared with July 2025.
