Organisers of the 27th Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong (ACGHK)—one of Asia’s largest pop-culture conventions—have unveiled a dedicated “Fast Track Entry” channel to smooth arrivals for overseas attendees. The new lane, located at Hall 1B of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, opens daily at noon during the 24–28 July show period. Visitors holding foreign travel documents and pre-purchased tickets can bypass the main security queue, reducing waiting times that in previous years stretched beyond 90 minutes at peak periods. The Hong Kong Tourism Board, which supports the event, said the measure is part of a broader push to revive international MICE and leisure traffic. Last year ACGHK drew over 180,000 visitors, but only 6 per cent were from outside Greater China. Travel agents specialising in incentive and fan-tour packages believe the fast-track arrangement, coupled with discounted hotel rates, could lift that share to double digits. Airlines including Cathay Pacific and HK Express have added extra flights from Seoul and Bangkok to meet anticipated demand. Companies sending delegations should encourage staff to download ticket QR codes in advance and allocate arrival windows after 12:00 to exploit the express lane. Organisers have also set aside a small quota of on-the-day fast-track passes for holders of official press or business badges. The experiment will be reviewed after the show closes on 28 July. If successful, the Tourism Board may replicate the model at forthcoming trade fairs such as Jewellery & Gem World and Clock & Watch 2026.
