From 21:00 to 06:00 on 30–31 July, Custom House Quay will close for resurfacing, rerouting services 60, 151, G1 and G2 via Georges Quay. Separately, roadworks on Ballymun Road continue nightly through 28 July, forcing airport-bound Route 24 to skip two stops in Glasnevin. The works form part of Dublin City Council’s accelerated summer infrastructure programme designed to finish before the September back-to-school rush. While diversions are short, they intersect with peak late-evening flight-crew shift changes, potentially lengthening commutes to Dublin Airport campus hotels and corporate headquarters in Northwood. Employers operating night shifts should alert staff and investigate car-pooling or private-shuttle options, as taxi demand could spike once services finish at 23:30. HR teams should also remind international assignees unfamiliar with Leap Card caps that diversions don’t affect fare validity.
