The carrier also received a four-star rating for its revamped business-class lounges at Warsaw Chopin and Budapest. Judges cited LOT’s punctuality record (87 % on-time performance YTD), investment in new Boeing 737 MAX 10 aircraft and the rollout of high-speed Wi-Fi across its long-haul fleet. While awards are largely reputational, they can influence corporate travel-programme negotiations. Travel buyers surveyed by the GBTA say Skytrax ratings are the second-most-consulted quality metric when selecting preferred carriers, after Alliance membership. LOT’s win may therefore strengthen its hand in upcoming 2027 fare-tender rounds, particularly against Lufthansa Group rivals on Central European corridors. The recognition also supports Poland’s positioning as a regional aviation hub. With Ryanair and Wizz Air focusing on price leadership, LOT’s full-service model—now validated by Skytrax—offers companies a premium option that still benefits from Poland’s relatively low airport charges. Mobility managers should watch for revised corporate-contract terms: LOT has historically paired award announcements with modest fare increases, but often offsets them with enhanced waivers or upgrade vouchers for high-volume clients.
