The City of Lourdes late on 24 September released a single ‘arrêté global’ (N°2026-09-1016) consolidating earlier piecemeal rulings on parking, pedestrian zones and commercial-vehicle access for 26-28 September. The document, available in PDF on the municipal website, maps every restricted street, sets towing fees (€120 plus €7 per day storage) and lists exemption categories, including accredited media vans and medical home-care providers. The consolidation responds to complaints from hoteliers and logistics firms about contradictory notices issued since early September. By merging them, the town aims to give transport planners a single reference. All bans start at 08:00 Friday and run until 17:00 Monday, longer than previously announced. Notably, the order forbids ride-sharing pickups (VTC) within the sanctuary perimeter; passengers must use official shuttles. This could disrupt corporate travellers staying in Tarbes who planned to use app-based services for last-mile links. The order also introduces ‘window permits’ for hotel supply trucks—delivery slots of 30 minutes between midnight and 06:00 that must be pre-booked online. Businesses failing to book face €450 fines. The Chamber of Commerce will host a webinar at 16:00 today to walk companies through the process. Firms with expatriate employees visiting Lourdes should review hotel transfer plans and ensure documentation is in the correct vehicle; police checkpoints will scan QR codes generated by the new booking system.
