Pipe-systems manufacturer Aliaxis has chosen the Sky Tower mixed-use skyscraper in Wrocław for its expanding EMEA shared-services centre, EurobuildCEE reported on 28 September. The company will move from serviced offices into a dedicated workspace designed to accommodate IT, procurement, logistics and finance teams supporting 17 countries. Aliaxis said central location, international flight links via Wrocław Airport and flexible lease terms were decisive. The firm will ramp up foreign hires, offering relocation packages that include visa sponsorship, Polish language tuition and four months of temporary housing—a sign that Poland remains attractive for regional hub functions despite tighter immigration quotas. HR advisers note that shared-services growth in secondary Polish cities creates fresh demand for work-permit allocations under regional labour-market tests. Companies should file applications early, as Lower Silesia’s annual cap is already 68 % utilised. The move underscores Wrocław’s pull for near-shoring projects competing with Kraków and Poznań. For expatriate staff the 212-metre Sky Tower offers on-site apartments and fitness facilities, easing settlement. Employers planning similar relocations should benchmark Aliaxis’s package, which covers shipment of household goods up to 3 m³ and a spousal job-search allowance. Local authorities welcome the investment, citing forecasts that each shared-services role generates 0.8 supporting positions in housing, education and leisure, thereby reinforcing Wrocław’s reputation as a mobility-friendly city.
