Cyprus Public Transport has issued an advance notice of timetable changes affecting 17 urban routes in Larnaca from Monday, 19 October 2026. The adjustments—detailed in a bilingual PDF released on 14 October—mostly shift departure times by five to fifteen minutes to better align with passenger demand patterns identified through the operator’s telematics system. Key airport-link routes 417 and 418 will see peak-hour departures retimed to improve connections with early-morning and late-evening flights. Commuter services between the city centre and Aradippou, Oroklini and Kalo Chorio also gain additional evening frequency, supporting workers in the logistics and hospitality corridors along the Dhekelia road. Expats who rely on public transport for Schengen-visa runs via Larnaca airport or for daily commutes to multinational offices in Livadia should re-download personalised schedules in the Pame app to avoid missed connections next week. CPT says digital journey-planner feeds have already been updated in Google Maps and third-party mobility platforms. While minor, the tweaks illustrate how data-driven scheduling can enhance the user experience without adding fleet capacity—a point the Transport Ministry is keen to showcase ahead of tenders for inter-city express routes planned for 2027.
