Italy’s largest B2B tourism fair, TTG Travel Experience, opened its doors on 14 October at Rimini Expo Centre and immediately drew record attendance from international buyers and Italian small businesses. Organised by Italian Exhibition Group, the three-day event hosts 2,700 exhibitors across 14 halls and is a bell-wether for the 2027 travel season. The national artisans’ federation CNA launched ‘AUTENTICA – Esserci è l’Esperienza’, a programme linking craft producers with tour operators to create experience-led itineraries that extend visitor stays beyond the traditional art-city circuit. Panels also tackled labour shortages in hospitality, digital-nomad visa uptake and how Italy’s new Electronic Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) will affect long-haul source markets from 2027. On the corporate-travel side, ITA Airways, Trenitalia and primary car-rental providers used the fair to preview dynamic-pricing tools and greener-fleet commitments that will factor into 2027 RFPs. Trade-fair organisers reported that 38 percent of hosted buyers specialise in MICE, underlining growing overlap between leisure and corporate mobility. Global-mobility teams with expatriate populations in Italy can leverage the fair’s content to refresh relocation ‘local plus’ packages—many sessions highlighted the competitive advantage of offering regional experiences and language immersion to international assignees seeking deeper engagement with their host country.
