The Consulate-General of Spain in Havana has begun phasing visa applications through a new outsourced centre, with bookings handled exclusively by the address info@spainvisa-cuba.com, according to an official Telegram alert posted on 30 October. Traditional ‘Bookitit’ appointments were discontinued on 18 September. The outsourcing is expected to double daily capacity and shorten appointment lead-times that had stretched beyond four months, delaying family-reunification, study and entrepreneur visas. Applicants are urged to check spam folders for confirmation messages and to bring printed bar-codes to the new facility, located five blocks from the consulate. Spain issued more than 54,000 visas in Cuba in 2025, many linked to the Digital Nomad and Entrepreneur categories. Travel agents say demand is rising again after Iberojet added a third weekly Madrid-Havana flight in October.
