The advisory also reminds travellers transiting France to check separate guidance because of ongoing heat-related road restrictions. Employers with duty-of-care programmes should push the alert to staff itineraries, ensuring travellers build contingency time into road movements or consider rail routes. Insurers may treat wildfire-caused delays differently from standard weather disruptions; travellers should review policy wording and keep receipts for alternative transport.
