Polish flag-carrier LOT Polish Airlines kicked off the summer edition of its weekly "Szalona Środa" (Crazy Wednesday) promotion in the early hours of 22 July, unveiling deep discounts on seven leisure routes – Madrid, Barcelona, Málaga, Palma de Mallorca, Tenerife, Toronto and Los Angeles. The headline grabber is Warsaw–Tenerife, with return economy fares starting at PLN 899 (≈EUR 205) for travel between 20 December 2026 and 29 March 2027. In an innovation aimed at active travellers and corporate wellness programmes, LOT is also offering a 50 % reduction on bicycle-carriage fees on all Spain-bound flights booked between 22 July and 2 August, for journeys undertaken up to 22 July 2027. The move targets Poland’s booming cycling community and capitalises on the Canary Islands’ reputation as a winter training base for amateur and professional riders. Travel-management companies report brisk interest from multinational firms planning off-season workshops: Tenerife’s mild climate is seen as a cost-effective alternative to long-haul retreats, and LOT’s wide-body Boeing 787 deployments on peak dates offer business-class cabins suitable for C-level travel-policy thresholds. Mobility advisers should note that Spanish airports will by then be operating the EU Entry-Exit System and, for visa-exempt non-EU staff, the new ETIAS authorisation. LOT warns that passengers will be denied boarding if they lack the required pre-travel clearance once ETIAS goes live in late 2026. Companies are urged to update traveller-comms templates and ensure bicycle dimensions comply with the carrier’s revised 190 × 80 × 40 cm packaging limit.
