France Travail (formerly Pôle Emploi) has launched its annual “Semaine de la Mobilité en Europe” running 21-25 September 2026, offering 23 free webinars that cover everything from taxation in Luxembourg to finding a first job in Finland. The online sessions are delivered in partnership with the EURES network and target French professionals contemplating assignments elsewhere in the European Economic Area. Day 2—the focus of 22 September—features panels on the ‘Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs’ scheme, disability-inclusive mobility, and practical guidance on settling in Sweden or Slovenia. Participants register through the Mes Événements Emploi portal and receive Microsoft Teams links automatically, a format that France Travail says allowed last year’s edition to reach more than 8,000 job-seekers. Corporate HR departments can leverage the content as a no-cost orientation tool for staff spouses or graduates entering global-mobility pools. The sessions on social-security coordination and unemployment benefits are especially relevant given the recent tightening of exportable French chômage rights under Decree 2026-812. Although the webinars are primarily outbound-focused, inward investors also monitor them as a talent-sourcing channel: 58 percent of 2025 participants ultimately accepted roles abroad but planned to return to France within five years, creating a pipeline of employees with international experience and EU languages. Registration remains open until 24 September, and playback recordings will be stored on France Travail’s YouTube channel for six months, allowing mobility managers to integrate modules into onboarding programmes.
