The Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism confirmed that Newfoundland and Labrador issued 41 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) on 25 September under the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP). The results were posted to the province’s invitations page and reported publicly on 26 September. All invitations went to skilled-worker and express-entry streams within the NLPNP; no Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) invitations were issued in this batch. The province does not publish minimum points cut-offs, but officials reiterated that Expressions of Interest (EOIs) are prioritised based on in-demand occupations and employer sponsorship. This was the fourth and smallest NLPNP draw of September, bringing the monthly total to 236 invitations—down from 470 in August. Provincial staff attribute the lower volumes to program-management needs rather than reduced demand, noting that batch sizes vary widely throughout the year. For employers operating in Atlantic Canada, the draw is a reminder that provincial pathways remain active even as federal Express Entry draws focus on in-Canada candidates. Companies with hard-to-fill roles should maintain a ready pool of EOI profiles for key hires so they can capitalise on invitational rounds when they occur. Candidates who received invitations have limited time—printed individually on each ITA—to submit complete applications, including proof of settlement funds and valid job offers where required. Those not selected retain their EOI in the pool for future rounds.
