Poland’s National Revenue Administration has warned users that the PUESC customs and excise services portal will undergo maintenance from 22:00 on 14 October until the early hours of 15 October 2026. During the window, online lodging of transit declarations, SENT road-monitoring filings and taxi-free export refunds will be unavailable. Importers and logistics providers have been advised to prepare contingency paperwork and, where necessary, switch to emergency offline procedures at land border offices such as Medyka and Koroszczyn. The Administration says the upgrade will introduce new security certificates and pave the way for two-factor authentication scheduled for rollout in November. Disruptions to PUESC have a direct knock-on effect on freight flows: the Medyka crossing, already affected by construction work on the Ukrainian side, experienced eight-hour lorry queues during the previous outage on 5 October. Forwarders therefore recommend submitting export manifests well before the 22:00 cut-off and rerouting time-critical cargo through lesser-used crossings like Budomierz-Hruszew. Corporate mobility teams moving high-value equipment or personal goods should also note that e-payment of customs duties will be suspended. Travellers exporting personal effects are urged to carry printed Tax-Free vouchers for manual stamping.
