Poland’s Government Security Centre (RCB) at 10:31 CET on 18 October confirmed that the night-time Russian air assault on Ukraine had subsided and that no missiles entered Polish territory. The text alert, pushed nationwide to mobile phones, cancelled the shelter-in-place recommendations issued eight hours earlier for Lublin and Subcarpathian voivodeships. Despite the all-clear, the agency reminded residents and travellers that temporary flight restrictions (NOTAM EP-D096) above an 80-km belt along the Ukrainian border remain in force until 19 October 23:59. Civilian drones are banned, and general-aviation flights require individual defence-force permission. Business aviation operators planning tech stops in Rzeszów-Jasionka or Lublin-Świdnik must therefore file alternate routings or obtain diplomatic slots. According to Eurocontrol data, five corporate jets diverted to Kraków and Warsaw overnight. The incident illustrates Poland’s rapid-alert system for spillovers from the war next door. Mobility managers with assignees in southeastern Poland should refresh crisis-communication trees and ensure staff subscribe to the free RCB SMS service to receive multilingual warnings.
