Prospective UK migrants in Colombia face a modest cost increase after UK Visas and Immigration revised the fee schedule at the Immimed clinic in Bogotá—one of only two centres authorised to conduct mandatory tuberculosis screenings for UK visa applications. The 19 October notice raises the adult test fee from US $165 to US $180 and the child rate from US $70 to US $75. The adjustment reflects exchange-rate movements and higher laboratory costs, according to the clinic’s management. Applicants must present the TB certificate when applying for visas longer than six months, including Skilled Worker, Health and Care Worker and Student routes. Certificates remain valid for six months. HR teams moving employees from Colombia should update cost projections and ensure medical appointments are booked early—slots can sell out during graduate-intake season. Failure to submit a current TB certificate leads to automatic refusal and loss of the Home Office application fee. Sponsoring employers are reminded that TB certificates can be uploaded digitally via the UKVI portal; original hard copies should nevertheless be carried when travelling, as airline staff sometimes request to see them at check-in.
