Cross-border motorists have a new data point when planning trips this holiday season. The real-time portal Nakordoni.eu, which aggregates checkpoint sensor feeds, published refreshed figures on 18 July 2026 showing current waits at major German crossings—including Waidhaus-Rozvadov and Zinnwald-Cínovec—updated every 15 minutes. Although conceived for Ukrainian truck traffic, the service now covers all of Germany’s Schengen borders. For the Czech route it displays separate lines for cars and freight, colour-codes congestion and includes alerts on weekend HGV driving bans, which can cause sudden spikes in car traffic. On Saturday afternoon, waits for passenger cars at Waidhaus averaged 25 minutes, while trucks queued for more than an hour as border police conducted document inspections linked to Germany’s temporary controls. Corporate mobility teams can integrate the free API into travel dashboards to give assignees automated notifications of developing queues. Logistics operators running just-in-time loads between Prague and Bavaria are already using the data to reroute via Folmava/Furth im Wald or schedule overnight departures. The Czech Business Confederation has welcomed the initiative, noting that delays at Germany’s internal Schengen frontiers cost Czech exporters an estimated CZK 230 million in lost productivity during last summer alone. Prague’s Transport Ministry says it is exploring a similar open-data feed for the Slovak and Austrian borders.
