Travel-tech platform Engine on July 22 rolled out new event-management capabilities inside its Engine Groups module, allowing corporate organisers to source hotel room blocks, meeting space and catering on a single dashboard. The company says group room-night volume jumped fivefold year-on-year to 460,000 in H1 2026 as in-person sales summits roared back. Key features include AI-driven hotel recommendations, a branded event page for attendees and real-time pickup analytics. Organisers can choose a do-it-yourself path or hand sourcing to Engine’s team at no extra cost. The service is live globally but most demand still originates in the United States and Canada. For mobility and travel managers the enhancement narrows the tech gap between SME and enterprise-grade meetings tools. It may also pressure traditional TMC meetings desks to speed similar self-serve options or risk losing mid-size events business. Companies should review data-security clauses because attendee registration now flows through Engine’s platform.
